A new show season is in front of us, our first stop will be Scottsdale Arizona for the Scottsdale All Arabian Show.  I've updated our schedule for 2012; check it out to see where we'll be this year.

11/2/2011

Whew, the show season's finally finished with the conclusion of the US Nationals.  If you forgot to pick up anything you ordered at the show I believe everything has now been shipped out so you should receive it shortly.  If there's anything you wanted to see but forgot to order at the show, well we have all classes available.

My next project is the 2011 US Nationals Highlights video; I expect to have it completed and shipping by early December.

9/12/2011

It's been a busy year and unfortunately we've been neglecting the website.  We're getting ready for the Sport Horse Nationals and the US Nationals; get your orders in before cameras get booked up.

3/15/2011

Scottsdale's over and we're back home now, all orders from the show have now been shipped out.  If you missed getting your class videoed, well we have good news for you.  Every class from the Equidome, Wendell and the Reining Ring are available for purchase.  Just use our online order form or, if you prefer, call us at 1-800-984-5286 to get anything you may have missed.

The new year is on us and we're starting to get ready for Scottsdale.  We would like to thank everyone for all the thoughts and sympathy we've received since the loss of Harry; I'd be lying if I said it was getting easier but we're coping.  We'll look forward to seeing everyone in February for Scottsdale.

Harry Cooper
12/22/1937 - 11/22/2010

Often called the voice of the Arabian horse, Harry Cooper was born and reared in Indianapolis, Indiana. Graduated from Broad Ripple high school in 1955, he attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, graduating with a B.S. Degree in Business Marketing in 1959. Post Graduate work was done in Business Administration at Butler University in Indianapolis.

Married to Sue Spivey, a lifelong horsewoman, in the summer of 1960, he had no choice but to learn the "horsey" life. His early horse experience was with American Saddlebred horses and American Quarter horses, with an introduction to Arabians through Half Arabians in 1963.

Successfully converted to Arabian horses and Arabian horse people, he began announcing shows quite unexpectedly in 1973. His ability to share the feelings of the exhibitors and spectators led to a very busy career.

He served two terms as President of the Indiana Half Arabian Club, was Director of the International Arabian Horse Association for two years, Chairman of the Half Arabian/Anglo Arabian Registry Board for four years and served on numerous committees of IAHA. Additionally, he managed the Arabian Horse Fair and was Vice Chairman of the United States Arabian and Half Arabian National Championship Horse Show.

For nearly twenty five years, he assisted Sue with the operation of their horse farm and training stable as Cooper-trained horses won more than a dozen National awards. With the creation of their family video business, Seehorse Video, Sue retired from training to assist son Scott and Harry in that venture.

For many years, Harry’s announcing schedule included as many as twenty five shows a year plus a dozen or more sales as well as open houses, seminars and presentations. His travel would occupy over 250 days per year.

Harry announced countless shows, including the U.S. and Canadian Nationals, many Regional Championship shows, the National Show Horse Finals, the Scottsdale show, the Buckeye Sweepstakes, and, generally, perhaps most of the important shows in North America. As far as sales go, in one particular year, Harry announced probably 90% of the total dollar value of Arabians sold at auction in the country. It was not uncommon for him to work perhaps two dozen sales in a given year.

Harry was diagnosed with severe emphysema in 2000 leading to his retirement from the announcer’s microphone and he lived at home the rest of his life. He continued to play golf and visit the local driving range every day until 2008, at that time having already survived 4 years longer than any of his doctors expected. On November 20, 2010 he fell ill and worsened, finally being rushed to the hospital the following morning. Despite all efforts he didn’t respond to treatment and finally lost his 10 year struggle with the disease at 12:35 PM Monday, November 22. Family and close friends were present at his bedside.

Harry is survived by his wife Sue, son Scott and all the thousands who’s lives he touched over his lifetime. Calling is scheduled for Saturday, 11:30 - 1:30 with funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM. Calling and funeral services will be at Hartley Funeral Homes, 209 W. Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034. Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Children’s Home in Flanagan, Illinois or to the Arabian Horseman’s Distress fund.

10/24/2010

The Nationals is underway and we're busy with all the million and one details that go into videoing a show of this magnitude.  In addition to shooting all the customer reservations we're streaming all three rings live on the Internet, you can watch Ford Arena, Mustang Arena or the Pavillion!

Right now the action's in either the Ford Arena for the Performance division or in Mustang Arena for the Working Western divisionThe Pavillion will start up on Tuesday morning with the Halter division.  All the feeds are totally free to watch.

9/14/2010

Well, we're most of the way through another show season; our next stop is the National Show Horse Finals and then we're off to the US Nationals.  We will be webcasting both the NSHF and the US Nationals live, you'll be able to watch them for free as well without any sign up required!  We're able to do this thanks to our advertising sponsors for the webcasts so please support them.  If you'd like to get your ad in front of everyone who watches the webcast then contact us for the details.

8/5/2010

We aren't streaming the East Coast Championships, I've been informed that the Internet service at the facility isn't reliable and up to handling our normal quality of webcast.  We decided not to webcast instead of having an unreliable feed that wouldn't be up to our standards.  We regret that you won't be able to watch the show live.

We are at the East Coast Championships and taking reservations for classes... all East Coast classes will be available as General videos after the fact as well.

6/16/2010

5/30/2009

A note from Harry Cooper:

With the completion of the Buckeye and the Memorial Day weekend comes the unofficial end of the spring show season and here comes June with the Egyptian Event and the start of Regional season. For Seehorse Video it has already been a busy year of shows, promos and sale videos, but it’s about to get really busy. Both of our video trailers are loaded up and ready to go to eight shows in six weeks, often sending two crews in opposite directions.

We are looking forward to our twentieth time to video the Event followed by six regional shows and two Saddlebred shows. As you can imagine, there are some pretty involved logistics in preparing for such a hectic schedule, but fortunately that has all been done and twenty-some videographers are ready for your horses to hit the ring. If you haven’t reserved your classes, please do so as soon as possible before the cameras are all booked

5/28/2009

The show season is underway, the Buckeye is over with and now we're heading into June.  Next stop, the Egyptian Event, then on to Region 9, Region 13, The Midwest Charity, Region 11, Region 14, Region 16... whew, it's going to be another busy show season!  Check out our Show Schedule for 2009 for a complete list of where we'll be this year and don't forget to reserve your classes at these shows.

3/24/2009

We've had some issues this last week with our online order forms; we believe we have them working now.  If you were unable to place an order due to the order form bug all should be well now.

Again, I want to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have had and I hope our problems are behind us.

Speaking of orders, we'll soon be headed to Las Vegas for the Arabian Breeder's World Cup show, and we'll also be sending a crew to the OHAHA Spring Show.  Cameras will be limited so get your orders in early!

3/4/2009

The 2009 Scottsdale show is behind us and it was a big one. Generally great weather (some rain early, then warm sunshine) greeted some 2500 horses for what had to be one of the best turnouts ever. As always, competition was outstanding and there were lots of parties and showings.

For those of you who were too busy to pick up your video orders, they have all been mailed to you. For some reason, it always gets hectic at the close of the show and collecting videos gets overlooked. If you forgot to order your class videoed, it’s not too late. We keep copies of every class of the show, just contact us. In fact, you can order any class from our huge archive of shows since 1983. A lot of people order videos of ancestors from their horses pedigree.

We have a busy show season scheduled and are booking promo shoots to coincide with our travels, it saves time and expense. Can we help you promote or sell your horse? And you may want to reserve your classes to video at any show on our schedule. Be early and be sure a camera is available for you.

Are you planning a show that needs a top quality video company? Give us a call.

1/13/2009

I've updated the website to include our 2009 Show Schedule, I've also added several new videos to the site.  There are some Sample Promotional Videos as well as some classes from the All American Classic Saddlebred show.

12/17/2008

The US Nationals Highlights is completed and all ordered copies have shipped out, if you've ordered one you should get it by Friday, 12/19/2008.  That pretty well wraps up another year, we'll shortly be turning our attention to 2009.

11/13/2008

Well, as you can see we've done a face lift on the website; everything should still be there with a new look.  On other news we're still in the process of editing the 2008 US Nationals Highlights; I've just finished getting all the footage into the computer and am starting the task of bringing order out of chaos, or at least creating an entertaining look back on our first year at Tulsa.

Speaking of the Nationals, we're aware that the MyHorseCam web cast from the show went down on Saturday Night, I've loaded the classes from Finals Night onto my site in their entirety, you can watch them here free of charge.
